Zooey Deschanel is not only an accomplished actress, but she is also becoming just as well known for her music. As one half of the indie folk band, She & Him, with Matt Ward, she has released two albums. The most recent Volume Two was released in March 2010.

According to the SFist, She & Him performed at the Treasure Island Music Festival on Sunday October 18th. The actress showed off her ukelele skills on stage. However, it isn’t that festival performance that is making the biggest news this week.

According to The Washington Post, Zooey Deschanel performed live during Game 3 of the National League Championship Series featuring the Philadephia Phillies and San Francisco Giants. She sang her own version of the classic “God Bless America” during the game, and it was a crowd pleaser!

Deschanel said the following about her musical career, according to Showbiz Spy: “I have a lot of things I think I could do, like producing music or films. Whatever it is, I would have to always be doing something creative.”

Sounds like this actress has plans to break the mold! Zooey is married to Ben Giibbard from Death Cab For Cutie. He also performed live at the Game 3 of the NLCS on Tuesday. Check out Zooey’s performance below! Go here for the latest in entertainment news and gossip.
